Refresher in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting [RFPFF]

  • INDOS is Mandatory
  • FPFF Course certificate  

  • Biometric Seafarers Identity Document (BSID) is mandatory for all the D.G.Shipping Approved Courses from 1st April 2023. Students without BSID will not be permitted for the course.
  • Non-Indian Participants need to hold a Student Visa to India to undergo the course.

This is the full course of 5 years validity for R-FPFF. The candidates who already have a PART A Certificate (18 months valid) can book R-FPFF PART B Course

As per DGS Order 11 of 2022, the course will be conducted PHYSICALLY.

As per DGS Order 11 of 2022, the exit exam has to be given only in the MTI.

In case the candidate fails in the exit exam, they can give the exit exam on the following working day at the MTI.

Reporting Time to HIMT Kilpauk- 5:45 AM. The bus will leave to HIMT College, Kalpakkam, by 6 AM from HIMT Kilpuak

Participants reporting to HIMT College, Kalpakkam directly can report by 7:30 AM

Departure from HIMT Kalpakkam- 4:00 PM
Arrival back to HIMT Kilpauk- 6:30 PM

The participants can board at either of the above stops. In case you are delayed and miss the bus, you can report to the campus directly.

Please note that the latest time to report to HIMT College, Kalpakkam is 8AM, failing which the course would be cancelled and you would need to re-book the course again.

D. G. Shipping mandates a minimum batch strength of 25%. In the event that the number of participants in the course reduces due to withdrawals, causing the batch strength to fall below 25% of the batch capacity, the course would be postponed without any additional charges.

  • Candidates need to carry a copy of their Valid DGS Approved Medical Certificate (Soft Copy will suffice)

  • We recommend candidates bring their own Boiler suit and Safety Shoes. Used Laundry cleaned Boiler suits sizes S to XXL, in limited numbers, are available for rent @ Rs. 99/pc, and used Safety Shoes sizes from 5-11 are available for rent at Rs. 99/pair. The payment for the same is to be done online through HIMT Student Portal.

If the sea service & the certificate is updated on the Seafarer Profile, then the seafarer profile can be submitted.

As per DGS Order 20 of 2020, Successful Completion of E-Learning Modules (DG Shipping Course ID- 6122) through the DGS website is mandatory to get Digital Certificate for all DG approved Courses. However, Elearning can be completed prior to or after the Physical Classes.
