This course is ONLY applicable for those who have received digital certificates of 18 months and who wish to upgrade from 18 months to 5 years.
The 18 months certificate could be from any D.G.Shipping Approved MTI
Non-Indian Participants need to hold a Student Visa to India to undergo the course.
1. R-PSCRB PART A Certificate
2. Candidates need to carry a copy of their Valid DGS Approved Medical Certificate (Soft Copy)
3. We recommend candidates bring their own Boiler suit and Safety Shoes. Used Laundry cleaned Boiler suits sizes S to XXL, in limited numbers, are available for rent @ Rs. 99/pc, and used Safety Shoes sizes from 5-11 are available for rent at Rs. 99/pair. The payment for the same is to be done online through HIMT Student Portal.
4. Change of clothes, towel, & 2 pairs of undergarments
Certificate Format:

Reporting Time to HIMT Kilpauk- 5:45 AM. The bus will leave to HIMT College, Kalpakkam, by 6 AM from HIMT Kilpuak
Participants reporting to HIMT College, Kalpakkam directly can report by 7:30 AM
Departure from HIMT Kalpakkam- 4:00 PM
Arrival back to HIMT Kilpauk- 6:30 PM

The participants can board at either of the above stops. In case you are delayed and miss the bus, you can report to the campus directly.
Please note that the latest time to report to HIMT College, Kalpakkam is 8AM, failing which the course would be cancelled and you would need to re-book the course again.
Candidates need to carry the following:
- 2 boiler suits OR 1 Boiler Suit along with 1 swimming costume/ trunks,
- Safety Shoes
- Change of clothes, towel, & 2 pairs of undergarments
The above cannot be rented at HIMT

If the practicals is booked without completing theory (PART A), the fees will be forfeited. Please note that if you do not hold a PART A Certificate valid for 18 months, please book R-PSCRB Full Course valid for 5 years
The photo & sign has to be re-uploaded on D.G.Shipping Profile if Part A is done prior to October 2020.
Dress Code : Collarless T.Shirts, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are not permitted for Physical Classes
Biometric Seafarers Identity Document (BSID) is mandatory for all the D.G.Shipping Approved Courses from 1st April 2023. Students without BSID will not be permitted for the course.
