Refresher Training for AFF ( Virtual + Practicals at HIMT)

AFF REFRESHER COURSE- [RAFF]

• INDOS is Mandatory

• AFF Course certificate

As per DGS Order 40 of 2020, practicals have to be done for the course and are MANDATORY. 

The certificate validity will be 5 years.

Step 1- Completion of Theory portion via Live Virtual Class

Step 2- Completion of Practicals at HIMT campus

Step 3- Completion of the Exit exam

It is advisable to complete the E- Learning prior to the virtual classes.

Please note that attending the practicals without completion of the theory element is not acceptable and the Course fees will be forfeited

Declaration

I confirm that I am in possession of the required hardware and software and have the connectivity of the required bandwidth and speed as stated in para 7.5 of DGS Training Circular 01 of 2020 dated 07.02.2020.

I further confirm that I have read and complied with the system requirements mentioned in point 10 of the SOP for Exit Exam in the DGS Order 20 of 2020 dated 03.08.2020

I understand that shifting a Course from Virtual to a future date of a Physical Class, the fees will vary and I will be subjected to pay the difference in fees, along with the shifting charges, if any.

I confirm that my seafarer profile is fully updated, and my photo and signature in the profile are visible and meet DGS Guidelines

As per DGS Order 20 of 2020, Successful Completion of E-Learning Modules (DG Shipping Course ID- 6312) through the DGS website is mandatory to get Digital Certificate for all DG approved Courses. However, Elearning can be completed prior to or after the Virtual Classes. 

RAFF PRACTICAL

1. Please do not book this course if you are not attending RAFF Virtual classes at HIMT, as the course fee will be forfeited in such cases.

2. This course is not applicable for those who have received digital certificates of 18 months or conversion of 18 months to 5 years

The candidates need to report Kilpauk at 5:45 am as the bus will leave for Kalpakkam to conduct Fire fighting practicals. You would reach 7:30 am and have your breakfast and start practicals till 2 pm and the candidates who wish to leave in their own vehicles can do so.

The bus will leave from HIMT Mockup by 4 pm and will reach the HIMT Kilpuak by 6 pm.

The candidates who wish to come directly to HIMT Mockup Practicals can do so by following the above timings.

1. Candidates need to carry a copy of their DGS Approved Medical Certificate
2. Candidates need to bring their Boiler suit and Safety Shoes
