Refresher in Advanced Fire Fighting [RAFF] (Includes RFPFF)

  • INDOS is Mandatory
  • AFF Course certificate

This is the full course of 5 years validity for R-AFF. The candidates who already have a PART A Certificate (18 months valid) can book R-AFF PART B Course

Reporting Time to HIMT Kilpuak- 5:45 AM. The bus will leave to HIMT Mockup, Kalpakkam by 6 AM from HIMT Kilpuak

Participants reporting to HIMT College, Kalpakkam  directly can report by 7:30 AM 

As per DGS Circular 19 of 2021, R-AFF will include the competencies of R-FPFF. Hence only 1 E-Learning and Exit Exam have to be done for the batches after 5th July 

Course ID for R- AFF E-Learning- 6312

As per DGS Order 11 of 2022, the exit exam has to be given only in the MTI.
In case the candidate fails in the exit exam, they can give the exit exam on the following working day at the MTI.

Kindly make the travel arrangements accordingly.

Dress Code : Collarless T.Shirts, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are not permitted for Physical Classes

 

  • AFF certificate
  • Candidates need to carry a copy of their Valid DGS Approved Medical Certificate (Soft Copy will suffice)
  • Candidates need to bring their Boiler suit and Safety Shoes.  The same CANNOT be rented at HIMT. 
  • Vaccination Certificate- 2nd Dose (Soft Copy) has to be submitted

    In case the participant holds the 1st Dose of Vaccination Certificate OR the Vaccination is not done, the RT PCR test has to be taken 48 hrs prior to the practical date. (RTPCR Test is required if a single dose of Covisheild or Covaxin is taken)

    As Johnson & Johnson (J&J) is a single-dose vaccine, candidates will be allowed for attending the practicals without an additional RTPCR test

If the certificate details are updated on the Seafarer Profile, then the seafarer profile can be submitted. Alternatively, the AFF Certificate can be uploaded on the HIMT Portal. 

As per DGS Order 20 of 2020, Successful Completion of E-Learning Modules through the DGS website is mandatory to get Digital Certificate for all DG approved Courses. However, Elearning can be completed prior to or after the Physical Classes.

Refresher Training For Proficiency In PSCRB [RPSCRB] (Includes RPST)

  • PSCRB Course certificate

 

As per DGS Order 11 of 2022, the course will be conducted PHYSICALLY.

This is the full course of 5 years validity for R-PSCRB. The candidates who already have a PART A Certificate (18 months valid) can book R-PSCRB PART B Course

Reporting Time to HIMT Kilpuak- 5:45 AM. The bus will leave to HIMT College, Kalpakkam, Kalpakkam by 6 AM from HIMT Kilpuak

Participants reporting to HIMT College, Kalpakkam directly can report by 7:30 AM

Departure from HIMT Kalpakkam- 4:00 PM

Arrival back to HIMT Kilpuak- 6:30 PM

    2 boiler suits OR 1 Boiler Suit along with 1 swimming costume/ trunks,

    - Safety Shoes

    - Change of clothes, towel, &  2 pairs of undergarments 

    The above cannot be rented at HIMT

  • Vaccination Certificate- 2nd Dose (Soft Copy) has to be submitted

If the sea service & the certificate details are updated on the Seafarer Profile, then the seafarer profile can be submitted. Alternatively, the shore experience letter & the PSCRB Certificate can be merged and uploaded on the HIMT Portal.
