MAIN ENGINE SUMP LUB OIL CONTAMINATION :
While routine checking of M/E L.O. Water contact test observed that % of water has gone up from previous record. Started analyzing and finding the reasons purifier checked found in good order.
Then realized that main engine cylinder head jacket used while in port due to JCCO temp not maintained. On crankcase inspection found that water coming through one of the tie rod column which has come from the cylinder block and tie rod nut face.
Finally did some temporary repair with Cardo-bond on the tie rod nut face and next port, the cylinder head jacket, O-ring renewed.
