Course Description


The aim of this course is to provide training to Masters, Cheif Engineer Officers, Chief Mates, Second Engineer Officers and any person with immediate responsibility for loading, discharging, care in transit, handling of chemical cargoes, tank cleaning or any other cargo related operation on a chemical tanker. The coursemeets the requirements of Regulation V/1-1 of the STCW Convention and covers the competence requirements as given in the table under section A- V/1-1-3 of the STCW Code of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, as amended.

Eligibility


  • INDOS Number is Mandatory,
  • The candidate should have completed the Basic Chemical Tanker Familiarisation Course 
  • Non-Indian Participants need to hold a Student Visa to India to undergo the course.

Documents Required


  • OCTCO or CTFC Certificate

If the certificate details are updated on the Seafarer Profile, then the seafarer profile can be submitted.

As per DGS Order 20 of 2020, Successful Completion of E-Learning Modules (Course Code: 5113) through the DGS website is mandatory to get a Digital Certificate for all DG approved Courses. However, Elearning can be completed prior to or after the Classes

Details


As per DGS Order 11 of 2022, the exit exam has to be given only in the MTI.
In case the candidate fails in the exit exam, they can give the exit exam on the following working day at the MTI.

Kindly make the travel arrangements accordingly.

Dress Code : Collarless T.Shirts, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are not permitted for Physical Classes

D. G. Shipping mandates a minimum batch strength of 25%. In the event that the number of participants in the course reduces due to withdrawals, causing the batch strength to fall below 25% of the batch capacity, the course would be postponed without any additional charges.
